Sebastian Lorenz is the Chief Technology Officer(CTO) of Edge & Node and a core developer and architect of The Graph’s decentralized data layer. Before joining full-time, he co-founded Avantgarde Finance, where he gained deep expertise in web3 infrastructure and decentralized finance.

As a member of The Graph Council, Sebastian helps guide the protocol’s technical strategy and evolution. As CTO, he focuses on advancing The Graph’s data architecture and empowering developers across the ecosystem.
